Applications

Our filtration systems are suitable for different types of industrial applications and for the most diverse materials, including post-consumer and post-industrial waste.

POST-CONSUMER PLASTICS RECYCLING

Post-consumer waste is defined as all waste made up from items that have reached the end of their life cycle or products no longer needed to perform their functions, such as packaging materials.

Processable materials:

N

LDPE (low-density polyethylene)

N

HDPE (high-density polyethylene)

N

PP (polypropylene)

N

PS (polystyrene)

N

ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene)

Post-consumer waste often consists of mixed and highly contaminated material. In addition to the original plastic polymers, we can find residues of paper, glues, wood, aluminum, soil, etc.

Recycling and recovery of this waste – to obtain a usable secondary raw material for the production of new products – takes place through the filtration process, which is necessary to remove all contaminants.

PRINCIPE-EVO, thanks to the TANDEM software, can filter this type of waste by means of a mesh screen (80 micron), without prewash.

Post-industrial waste is defined as all waste generated by production processes, such as trimmings from processing, non-conforming material, defective items, etc.

Post-industrial plastic waste consists of homogeneous material with a low level of contamination, which is why the filtration process is carried out without posing any particular challenges.
